Peak space heating demand in kW. Used to determine the installed heating technology capacity.

peak_heating_demand(hli, floor_area, coldest_day = -7, size_factor = 1.3)

Arguments

hli

heat loss indicator W/Cm2

floor_area

treated floor area

coldest_day

outside design temperature. Default -7, often set to -4/-2.

size_factor

a factor to reflect water heating demand and specification overcapacity

capacity in kW

Details

In the past, boiler nameplate capacities were excessively high.
